What is Neuromuscular Therapy?
Neuromuscular therapy is a specialized form of deep tissue massage in which pressure and friction are used to release areas of strain in the muscle.
How does Neuromuscular Therapy work?
These areas of strain are called trigger points and are the cause of muscular pain symptoms. Trigger points are areas of hypersensitivity in the muscle caused by overstrain. Trigger points cause pain, fatigue and weakness in the muscle.
How can Neuromuscular Therapy help me?
- neck pain and injuries
- Rotator cuff injuries
- low back pain
- sciatic pain
- sports injuries
- hip pain
Using trigger point therapy, myofascial release, therapeutic stretching and PNF, I assist you in releasing patterns of pain, repetitive stress and sports injuries in the musculature. My intention is to re-educate the neuromuscular pathways to create freedom from pain.
